Opening remarks from the Master of Ceremonies, Ian Hooper (Government of Alberta, Partnerships in Injury Reduction), and the President of the Rural Utilities Safety Association (RUSA). Listen as David Ainsworth from the City of Edmonton presents on active intruders. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion following the presentation.

Driving Safety and Attitudes

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm (30 minute breaks)
Lei Deng from the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) will present on behalf of AMA Fleet Safety Services. Lei is a certified Alberta driving instructor with over 10 years of experience and is well versed in safe driving practices. This session will discuss the impact of attitude on the ability to drive safely, as well as information on winter driving, collisions, and distracted driving. The RCMP's Gord Buck will also present on the YIELD (Youth Initiatives & Education in Lifestyles & Driving) Program. After the session, join YIELD at trade show booth 41 for demonstrations with their driving simulator or try out their impaired vision goggles.

Hazard Writing Workshop

Jewel Day-Hampton returns with the ins and outs of writing a hazard program for your municipality. Review tools, standards, and enjoy ample time for asking questions to better understand the concept of hazard writing.
